Fireproof Safes - For A Safer Future

Filed under: Security Tips — admin @ 5:12 pm

Without enough protection and safety measures, a fire in your home (or business) could be the most devastating tragedy you will ever experience. Nowadays, people have come to realize that it is best to equip their homes and offices with fire protective gadgets and devices such as fire exits and fire alarms. Unfortunately, these safety measures can not protect your valuable posessions, as they would be set ablaze in such an event. Fireproof safes are exclusively designed to shield your most valuable possessions, documents, and properties from fire. These fireproof safes have special features that let them withstand the blazing heat of a fire.

1. Fireproof Means Secure

Generally, most safes are built with fire-resistant features. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are fireproof. The two words are totally different. Fire-resistant safes refer to the ability of the safes to withstand the blazing heat of the fire to certain given point. These are rated by the Underwriters Laboratories. Fireproof safes, however, provide more protection than what fire-resistant safes can do. What’s more, they can protect even the most delicate data in stored in your floppy diskette or CDs. Fireproof safes are more reliable when it comes to media files.

Like fire-resistant safes, fireproof safes are impact tested so as to ensure the safes’ capability to endure the fire. Usually, fully loaded fireproof safes are heated to a maximum of 1550 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour and a half. After which, it is dropped 30 feet unto a layer of rubble and then heated all over again for another 30 minutes at 1550 degrees Fahrenheit. Small, extremely flammable objects like paper are contained within during the tests to ensure their effectiveness.

2. Solid Investment Or Waste Of Money?

Contrary to some beliefs, documents and other valuable materials cannot be equally protected by fireproof safes and the typical metal filing cabinet. Because of the nature of paper to be destroyed at 400 degrees even inside the vault, the use of metal vaults or filing cabinets have proven to be inefficient in situations like these.

On the other hand, because of the escalating prices of commodities these days, more and more people tend to think that obtaining these fireproof safes are actually a waste of money. They contend that the prices of fireproof safes are too much considering the fact that it looks just like the same as that of a typical metal vault or filing cabinet.

If you are to look at it on a more positive side, however, safety measures really do matter. People realize that obtaining fireproof safes are actually a good investment - your most valuable possessions and documents are kept safe even if tragedies like a fire happens. After all, the cost that you will be spending now is actually smaller than the cost of your valuables and documents that will only be lost in the fire.

Moreover, documents such as contracts, records, and any legal actions that were put into writing must be protected. If in the event that these items were lost caused by fire, another disaster is most likely to happen. For example, individuals who can not present proof because it was destroyed is a dilemma in the making.

Dating - First Date Chemistry

Filed under: Misc Stuff — admin @ 4:16 pm

Although the nervousness of a first date can somewhat hamper the flow of your true and wonderful personality, there are a few signs that you will notice when things are really going great. The conversation will flow. There will be a natural rhythm to the dialogue, each person contributing and taking turns in the spotlight. You will enjoy listening to them tell you their tales, and you will know that they are paying attention to what you have to say.

The sparks will be there. The flirtation will be high, natural and lighthearted. There will be more touching at the end of the date than there was in the beginning. Let there be laughter. Easy, natural humor, laughter, giggles, smiles and comic relief all add to the pleasure and ease of the date.

Ask yourself, ‘what is it that would make you more comfortable”? What could they do for you that would make it go smoother for you? When you answer those questions, you can turn tables and do exactly that for them

Give them a warm smile.
Make eye contact. Looking at someone directly in the eye gives the sense that you’re open, honest, and paying attention.
Make them feel welcome by reaching out to them, pulling them closer into your personal space.
Compliment them on their appearance and accomplishments.
Draw them into a conversation and then be interested in their responses.
Be kind, polite, attentive to their needs, gracious, and chivalrous (for men)
Be relaxed with them and let them follow suit.

Where to go?

A first date should be short and sweet. Since you are at the initial stages of discovering more about each other, a long date may be more than you can handle. It may become uncomfortable if you find that really do not have much in common, or that you have run out of things to talk about. If the date goes well, then a shorter date will leave you both wanting for more. You will part with a pleasant feeling, looking forward for more contact.

Decide

A full dinner may be too long and complicated. It may involve more of an expense than desired or expected.

A movie or a concert does not allow to you speak with each other.

All all-day skiing trip could be tortuous if the chemistry does not happen, and could give rise too all sorts of complications that could bring out the worst in one or both parties.

A company party or family event has obvious pitfalls and traps

Instead first dates can take place at a coffee shop, over lunch, or at a comfortable bar over a drink. If you have determined that you both have dogs, you could have a first date walking them in the park and getting an ice cream from the vendor. A sporting event may be acceptable if both parties really have an interest in the event.

CRM On Budget: How To Develop and Stick To a Realistic Budget for CRM

Filed under: Online Management — admin @ 3:54 pm

It seems that having a project come in On-Budget is the
holy-grail of project management, especially when it comes to
CRM projects. With their 70% failure rate, CRM projects
represent a significant risk to a small business’ financial
health and warrants more “measure twice, cut once” consideration
before beginning.

Coming in On-Budget does not mean you managed to squeeze your
project into whatever arbitrary budget you came up with when you
first started. It also doesn’t mean that you started with an
overly generous budget.

It does mean that you develop a budget that takes into account
an analysis of 4 critical areas:

1. PAYOFF. You need to know exactly how your CRM system is going
to generate ROI. This will help you focus your project on the
right areas. By knowing how you expect payoff to be achieved,
you can plan to achieve it.

2 RISK. You need to figure out where the risk is in your project
because “risk=expense”. By figuring out what can go wrong, you
can take measures to minimize and contain that risk.

3. SERVICES. Be sure to fully account for the variety of
services that will be required. A few often overlooked areas
that can increase your services bill significantly incoude:
meetings, testing time, debugging time and “while you’re
here…” time.

4. TECHNOLOGY. Choosing the wrong technology is can be a huge
waste of money. From the worst case scenario of a totally failed
project to having to spend extra money to make the wrong
software do things it wasn’t intended to do.

What makes putting together a realistic budget so difficult for
small businesses is that it’s not what they do and they don’t
have the experience of having done several before. It’s not what
they do. So, they rely on the Sellers of CRM who have their own
vested interest in not scaring off their customers with numbers
that are perceived to be too expensive.

By putting together a realistic budget, you may very well find
that the project is going to cost much more than you were
intitally prepared to spend. It’s best to find this out now and
before you “sign on any dotted lines”.

If you do find out the project is going to cost more, here are a
few ideas of what to do:

- WAIT & SAVE. Perhaps you need to wait 6 months until you have
a bigger budget. Use this time to get prepared for the project:
learn more about the software choices, make sure you’re business
processes are as fine tuned as they can be, and focus on how CRM
software will generate ROI.

- GO AHEAD. It may be more money than you were expecting, but
may still be within your budget. If you’re clear on how the CRM
system is going to generate ROI and you’re otherwise ready, go
for it!

- SCALE DOWN. If you have a very clear idea of how the CRM
software is going to achieve ROI and you can’t afford the full
project, focus in a smaller area to begin with that will have a
payback. Use this payback to help fund future projects. It’s
always a good idea to start with smaller, high-payoff projects
first.

- FIND MORE ROI. If you have a really clear and compelling
business case for how a CRM system is going to improve your
bottom-line, it’s much easier to find the necessary funds to
implement it.

- DOUBLE CHECK. Make sure you’re choosing the right technology.
Cheap software can often be expensive to implement. Double check
to make sure you’re basing your budget on the right CRM
software. You may find that a software that costs more in
licensing, ends up being an overall more affordable solution.

Why You Should Be Using Blog Entries Instead Of Testimonials

Filed under: Blogging — admin @ 11:18 am

Testimonials have been the main way business owners have been able to add credibility and trust to their businesses for brand new prospects and perspective customers to feel more comfortable when making a purchasing decision. Now, with the wide spread acceptance of blogs and blogging, webmasters can use their blogs as a new and superior method of exhibiting and enhancing those testimonials. Here are 5 examples of what I mean:

Give your clients/customers the opportunity to publish their own blog (on your site) instead of just giving you a
testimonial. The blog would include regularly updated entries of how the customer is using your product to improve their life. You could give customers a fr-ee product or a rebate in exchange for them publishing it on the blog.

See if your customers/clients would be willing to write blog entries about goals they have reached using your product, the positive emotions it’s given them, the fears and worries your product has taken out of their lives, how bad their lives were before they bought it, how it has helped other people in their lives, etc.

Your customers and clients could update it daily, weekly or monthly, depending on how frequently they use your product(s). You could publish the blog entry right in your ad or link directly to the blog itself. You could either provide the people with blog space for writing the blog or have them e-mail you the blog entries for you to publish yourself.

You can make the blog extra persuasive and credible by also including customer’s personal profile, pictures, online video of them using your product, net audio of them talking about your product, even scanned handwritten letters. Today’s easy to use technology makes these suggestions (and many others), simple to implement.

A blog would likely outsell the common, age-worn testimonial because it’s updated on a regular basis and reveals more personal information about the client/customer. A blog is considered more personable which would make people more apt to read it and believe it’s legitimacy.
