We just arrived from an absolutely fabulous vacation from the pristine beaches of Ocho Rios in Jamaica. We enjoyed the trip so much that we have already decided to go back there for our winter holidays.

In Ocho Rios we stayed at the Beaches Boscobel Resort and Golf Club. The kids had a great time playing at the Pirates Island Water Park. The park has an aqua play area called Treasure Isle which has over a dozen water slides. These slides are specially designed for kids of all ages. The best part of the play area was the sea creature themed décor. The kids obviously screamed their heads off on each and every one of those slides and believe me it was really difficult to get them away from them when it was lunch time.

The hotel’s Kids Camp allowed us to leave our kids in safe hands and enjoy our own vacation without any guilt. Basking under the sun on the pristine beaches or by the pool was exactly what I needed. My husband chose the swim-up bar over me, not that I was complaining. Occasionally he would join some other guests on the pristine beaches for a quick game of volleyball.

I will never forget the day when my daughter shared a crumbling cookie with me that she had baked. She had apparently spent the entire afternoon baking loads of cookies with the Cookie Monster with the help of Mr. Baker from the bakery. She had convinced someone to click her photographs while she baked as proof that she had indeed baked them herself. She also wanted to show off photographs of her new friends, Abby Cadabby and Zoe from Sesame Street, to her classmates in school.
