The new E55 AMG wagon packs power of 469 horsepower and 0-to-60 mph times of 4.6 seconds with its 5.5-liter supercharged AMG V8 engine. It has high-performance four-wheel disc brakes with oversize perforated and ventilated rotors with multi-piston calipers.
The exclusive new wagon also comes with AMG aerodynamic bodywork with AMG 18-inch alloy wheels with staggered tires. Inside, black Birdseye maple trim is standard, as well as special AMG gauges and sport seats finished in nappa leather.
Standard to the E55 AMG wagon are four-zone climate control that allows different temperature settings for the rear outboard passengers as well as the driver and front passenger. Also standard on the both the E55 AMG wagon and sedan models is a harman kardon Logic 7 audio system that features seven-channel surround sound, concert-quality output and 12 high-end speakers.
Air suspension from the S-Class, called Airmatic DC (for Dual Control), is standard on the E55 AMG models. Airmatic suspension uses sensors that monitor road conditions, driving style and cornering forces to ensure that the system always chooses the best air spring and shock absorber settings. The system can switch between different damping profiles in a fraction of a second, and the driver can also select from four pre-set suspension response programs.
A new sports suspension for the CLS55 AMG that’s based on the Mercedes-Benz semi-active air suspension with giant vented and perforated disc brakes carry staggered 19-inch wheels with 255/35 tires in front and 285/30 at the rear. To help handle all the power, the ESP system can apply the brakes on just one wheel to transfer torque to the wheels with better traction, achieving much the same effect as a limited-slip differential.

It is extremely important for all non - national Drivers or all those who are contemplating taking up Driving in Ireland for the first time to acquaint themselves with all the regulations before starting off! Ireland, as a member of the European Union, has strict standards which are evolving continuously and ignorance of the rules, regulations, and legislation is no excuse in breaking the Law! It is worth pointing out that because of many insurance breaches and the incessant rate of accidents on the roads ,that we are all paying an excessive rate for our Car insurance .When this situation continues to improve we will all benefit .
In the next few lines we will summarise under headings the steps that a new aspiring Driver must take in order to legally drive on the road.
(1) License Requirements
(2) Theory Test
(3) Provisional license
(4) Road Tax for vehicle
(5) Insurance
(6) National Car Test (NCT)
(7) Tyres
(8) The Driving Test
(9) Foreign License Transfer
We will firstly look at the Complete Beginner Driver, someone who has never driven before and then take the Driver who has driven in his or her own Country
- You must first sit and pass the Driver Theory Test.
- You may then acquire your Provisional Driving License.
- With your provisional license you are then legally allowed behind the wheel.
- You MUST then have an accompanying Driver who holds a full Irish Driving License.
- The car you are driving must be insured for you to drive .This can be insurance in your own name or as a Named Driver on a relatives or friends insurance policy.
- The Car you are driving must have a current Insurance Disc displayed.
- The Car must have a Current Tax Disc Displayed.
- The Car must have an NCT Certificate displayed where necessary.
- All equipment in the car must be functioning correctly, Lights, Brakes, Indicators.
- Finally Tyre tread depths must be a minimum of 1.6mm across two thirds of the width of the Tyre.
- The first Provisional license will last for two years and once you are using your second Provisional License you will not be able to renew this without having sat your Driving Test.
- The waiting list for Driving Tests is approximately 12 months so it is advisable to apply for the Driving Test when you commence lessons with a Professional Driving School.
- Please don’t waste your time and that of the Dept. of Transport by attempting to sit the Driving Test without having had a substantial course of Lessons.
- Part of the reason for the lengthy wait for a Driving Test is precisely because too many Applicants are not sufficiently well prepared for this Exam and are having to sit the Test on subsequent occasions
- When you have passed your Driving Test you should exchange your Provisional License for a Full Irish Driving License which will enable you to reduce your Insurance costs and of course drive throughout the European Union.
- If you do not exchange your Provisional license for a full License you will not legally be entitled to drive on a Motorway.
- Your License (Provisional or Full) must be carried with you at all times.
Drivers who have an existing License from their Own Country:-
.
- Nationals of Countries belonging to the European Union may exchange their full Licenses for a Full Irish License if they are intending to reside permanently in Ireland.
- Provisional Licenses held by European Union citizens, including the United Kingdom, are not transferable and therefore an aspiring Driver must undergo the full action described above of Theory test; Provisional License; Driving test in order to achieve a Full Irish Driving License.
- Non - E.U.Nationals driving on a full license from their own country will mostly need to undergo the full system of Theory Test; Provisional License: Driving Test; in order to qualify for a full Irish Driving License.
- There are a few exceptions to this rule and the list of acceptable Licenses for Transfer to an Irish License can be found on the Dept. of Transport web site.http://www.driving.ie
Insurance
- Driving without insurance, which is a serious offence and can lead to heavy fines and Penalty point on your license, increases the insurance costs for all motorists!
-
- All Drivers pay a percentage of their Insurance premium into a fund to cover the costs of accidents incurred by uninsured drivers!
-
- Getting insurance cover even for a vehicle which has only a nominal value is extremely expensive, particularly for the Provisional License holder .Therefore it is imperative, for the beginner driver to accept this fact and spend the necessary amount on Driving Lessons and pass the Driving Test as soon as possible.
-
- With a full license, insurance will still be expensive, but with an accident -free record this will reduce year by year.
-
- One final reminder about Insurance Discs; if they fade in bright sunlight, they must be replaced as otherwise a Driving Test could be forfeited if the Examiner cannot read the Disc!
Legislative changes are a fact of life for us in the Motoring Community and indeed as we continue to be brought in line with our larger and better regulated E.U.neighbours, it is essential to be aware of these changes which have been continuing for several years now and will continue into the foreseeable future.

It is the largest sport utility vehicle to be found in the Ford
Motor Company’s line up of vehicles. It is the Ford Excursion.
This vehicle is based on the Super Duty pick up truck platform.
It offers a V8 engine for gasoline and diesel, and also a V10
gasoline engine. It has the capacity to take in a load of a
maximum of nine passengers. This vehicle was actually designed
so as to take the position right above the Ford Expedition and
the Ford Explorer in the Ford Motor Company’s line up of
vehicles. The Sierra Club has given it the name Ford “Valdez”
due to its huge weight and size. It was specifically designed so
as to be classified as a heavy-duty vehicle. Also, the Ford
Excursion is exempted from the CAF fuel economy regulations
because of its designation and also because of its functions for
commercial and rural use.
The Ford Motor Company has designed the Ford Excursion with the
purpose in mind that this vehicle would serve as an avenue so as
to provide customers with a fresh new choice in the heavy-duty
utility market. This vehicle offers more space and convenience.
It is also very useful in many activities that include towing,
and carrying and transporting cargo and luggage. It has a large
towing capacity that can take and handle a maximum of 10,000
pounds. The Ford Excursion also includes a standard trailer
hitch that allows the prevention of a car to slide underneath
the rear of this vehicle during a rear collision.
Primarily, this vehicle made its public debut in 2000. It
received a wide variety of criticisms because of its being too
large size that it could not actually fit into most home
garages. It also was carped because huge and heavy weight, along
with its poor fuel economy. Its chief competitors were the
Chevrolet Suburban and the GMC Yukon XL. However, because of
these criticisms, the Ford Motor Company had re-crafted the Ford
Excursion so as to smoothen out any flaws that it had. The
original engine was replaced by a more power and more fuel
efficient engine.
People looking for a vehicle to buy would be interested in the
Ford Excursion if the kind and quality of car that they are
looking for includes criteria like it being a sports utility
vehicle with an extremely wide interior space for nine people.
It comes in different trims that include XLT, Eddie Bauer, XLS
5.4 L, and Limited. These trim levels are equipped with a
rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configurations. All these
trims have power adjustable pedals as a standard feature. It has
the capacity to climb steep places at a controlled place.
Drivers found out that driving the Ford Excursion feels like
driving a truck. The XLS 5.4 L has the standard 5.4 liter, V8,
255-horsepower engine in it. The Limited 6.0 L is equipped with
a 6.0 liter, V8, 325-horsepower turbo diesel engine.
Many customers are satisfied with Ford vehicles, and Auto Parts Corner has been the top choice of
millions of Ford owners for years. It contains a line of
excellent Ford Excursion parts, Ford parts and auto parts at its online
store.

I need a car. I’ve been a pedestrian for too long. I need information. I’ll hop on the web. Search for “car buying guides.” Whoa! Over 15 million sites/pages! Refine my search. “Free first time car buyer guides” and narrow it down to only 4 million. That’s about as refined as I can get right now. Look over the first page of my results, chose some links with names I recognize. Open some pages. Lots of interesting articles. Let’s see if I can pull together a cohesive list.
What type of vehicle do I need? Notice I wrote “need” not want? I want a cool car, but this is a major investment and cool doesn’t really last that long. Do I buy new or used? What kind of driving am I really going to be doing, and in what kind of conditions? How much can I reasonably spend for monthly maintenance? How much can I spend on a loan or lease payment? Should I buy from a dealer, an auction or private sale? How’s my credit rating? Where should I buy insurance? Lots of questions to answer, and probably some I haven’t included here.
Before you search for that cool car, decide exactly what your needs and wants are. Don’t buy what you want, buy what you need. Don’t get into a cash bind because you spent more than you can really afford because the “cool” factor fades fast but those monthly payments continue. Review your budget to determine how much you can really afford. That means not only the car payment, but insurance and an estimate of your monthly maintenance (gas, oil, etc.)
Check your credit so you have an idea of what type of loan you can qualify for. Decide on a firm price (payment or full-purchase), because dealers and salespeople will be doing their best to get more out of you. Be firm and stick to your dollar amount. If financing, decide on a realistic maximum payment you can make. If possible, check with your bank to see what type of loan you qualify for.
With the internet, it’s now much easier to compare vehicles. Take the time to check out some websites that offer information about vehicles and compare. Don’t just rush out and buy the first car you see. Remember, your vehicle is a major investment and unless you can change vehicles every year, this car will probably have to last you 4 or 5 years. Be choosy. Look at the pictures, sure, but READ the information. Check to see if the dealership offers web discounts (that is, if you buy from them they will offer some discount for using the web).
Educate yourself about vehicle pricing. Dealerships have to make a profit; otherwise they would not be in business! Simple economics. Dealers will negotiate, but YOU have to be prepared as well. The dealers and salespeople know their bottom line on any vehicle. Again, check the web for information regarding pricing. Ask family and friends to help you learn about vehicle pricing. There are many factors that most people don’t even know about.
Make certain you qualify for insurance. Check out your state’s department of motor vehicles website and learn the minimum insurance necessary. Check around the web and you’ll find many major insurance companies with rate comparison features. Use those resources. Be very aware that your past driving record will affect your rates, but also if you are a first time buyer, be ready for slightly higher rates to begin with. After all, the insurance company is really gambling on your not making any claims against the insurance. Think about the type of driving you will be doing and review the “extras” offered by the insurance provider. Also, the type of vehicle you are looking to purchase will affect your rates as well. Older cars usually mean less safety features, so rates will be higher. Your vehicle insurance is just as important as your health insurance.
A short note here about car dealerships (and not just the new vehicle showroom guys). I personally have not had good results buying from a private seller. Way too many variables and basically no recourse if something isn’t right. Dealers have certain rules and restrictions they must comply with, such as title registration time limits, the lemon law, and the “buyers remorse” (3 day changed my mind) rules. Dealerships must be licensed and follow the laws; private sellers often don’t. Dealerships also can provide a wider range of options than a private seller. Go to your state motor vehicle or department of licensing website and educate yourself. What you don’t know can hurt you.
Also, there is a list called the Customer Service Index (or something similar) which each car maker maintains for dealerships. The ranking indicates who a dealership satisfies customers not only in sales, but also in service. Basically, go to the manufacturer’s website, search for customer service index and then navigate the website to find that manufacturer’s criteria for a great dealership. Yes it takes time, but this is a major investment. Family and friends can help here as well.
Once you have decided what type of vehicle you want, and which dealerships you want to check out (always try at least 2 dealerships, don’t just settle on one!), take someone with you, preferably someone knowledgeable about the vehicle you have chosen (a family member or friend you feel comfortable with). That person will probably ask some questions you didn’t think of! I’m a wimp when it comes to negotiating, but my hubby isn’t, and he knows about cars. I let him do most of the questioning, even though I was the one purchasing the car. Believe me, it helped, because he asked questions I really never thought about.
Last, but certainly not least, TEST DRIVE THE CAR! Sounds simple, but it is very important. Just because you found what looks like the car of your dreams, it may still not be right. You need to be comfortable behind the wheel, your sight lines should be clear, you should be able to judge your surroundings based on the size of the vehicle, and you should be able to find all those little areas of vehicle maintenance you can do yourself.
Remember, a vehicle is a major investment. It should be chosen with care and deliberate thought. There a many factors to consider and, ultimately, you are the one that has to pay for any mistakes in your choice.

If you thought go carts were high-priced items, think again.
Sure, you can go ahead and pay retail for a go cart, but why
would you want to do that when you can buy go carts for up to
50% off the manufacturers price? Learn the secret to obtaining
top go carts at bargain basement prices.
Go carts are fun, there is no dispute there. Once you slide into
a sleek new go cart and take it out for a spin there is no
turning back. If you are like many others the thrill of racing
gocarts or traveling off road is something you cannot live
without. The only problem is that they can be rather expensive
to purchase. This is the reason you need to do your homework, so
you can obtain the gocart that you thought was too expensive. If
you have a little patience and are willing to put forth just a
few hours of work you will be able to find a top go cart for as
much as 50% off of the price that other uninformed people are
paying.
Instead of renting or borrowing go carts you can own one of your
own. Go carts are fun, there is no doubt about that. But you
didn’t come here for that, you came here to pick up the tips and
secrets to purchasing a top go cart for the lowest possible
price. So let’s get started.
Finding cheap go carts is not as difficult as you might have
imagined. In just a couple of minutes you will know everything
you need to know about finding your dream go cart for a truly
great discounted price. Finding go carts for sale at cheap
prices is the easy part. The hard part is that you will have to
wait two or three weeks before buying one. But if you can hold
out that long you will be able to save some of your hard-earned
money on your go cart purchase.
OK, so here we go. Buying a cheap go cart is really a very
simple tactic. It’s called price shopping or price comparison
shopping. All you do is compare prices for go carts from many
different sources and then buy the cheapest one. It’s as easy as
that. You just have to know the correct way to find your
sources. With the proper technique you can find great deals that
you might have missed otherwise.
Back in ancient times, before the internet, you would have to
call up many different go cart stores or actually go out and
visit them in person to get prices for their racing or off road
gocarts. But the internet turns a two week job into a two hour
job. It still takes a little work and some patience, but the
savings you can realize will be well worth the time and energy
spent.
First, go to Google.com and type ‘go carts,’ ‘go cart,’ ‘go cart
sale’ or similar terms into the Google search box. You may also
want to try different spellings such as ‘go karts,’ ‘go kart,’
‘gocarts,’ ‘gocart,’ ‘gokarts’ or ‘gokart,’ whatever you feel is
appropriate. You will be amazed at how many “go carts” results
will pop up on your search. These days, anybody and everybody
can offer their wares online. You will find many top online
dealers for go carts with your simple search.
Some of the sites will not actually sell go carts, but will be
informational sites only. You need to check out about 10 or 20
of the top online go cart dealer listings and keep a list of the
different prices that they offer for the models that you are
interested in. For example, if you want a Carter Brothers go
cart you would perform your Google search for Carter go carts.
Then write down the different dealer prices for the models you
are interested in buying. Also, you will notice on the right
side of the Google search web pages there are many sponsored
ads. If you have searched for Carter go carts some of these
sponsored ads will most likely be ads for Carter go carts.
Companies pay a lot of money to advertise on Google. Many of
these advertisements are from top online companies that will
have great prices, so they should be checked out too.
Next, after you have searched Google and made a list of the
different go cart prices for the models you like, do the same
thing at Yahoo.com, Froogle.com and any other search engine you
can think of. There are many search engines such as dogpile.com,
altavista.com, lycos.com, excite.com and many more. Just type
“search engines” into any search engine search box and you will
find many others. You can also go to ebay and look for go cart
auctions. Follow some of these auctions for a few days and you
will quickly learn how much go carts are selling for.
The key is to search as many different online dealers as
possible and make a list of the varying prices. It will only
take tow or three hours to do this. Once you’re tired of being a
detective put your pencil down and wait a week. Then do it all
over again. After two or three weeks you will have found some
great deals on go carts by simply doing your homework. Deals you
might have missed if you did not put in the time and effort.
It’s simple. All you are doing is spending a little time
locating all of the best prices you can find online. Then you’re
keeping a list of these prices so that you can compare them.
After a couple of weeks you should have a list of many top
online go cart dealers and their prices for the go cart models
you are interested in. It is easy now to go over your list and
pick out the best deals. If you can save as much as 50% by doing
a little homework and having a little patience it is well worth
doing. And from this point on it’s all fun.

Carburetors are a component of internal combustion engines that generate a combustible mixture of gasoline and air. Carburetors were used in cars in earlier days, but presently, they have been replaced by the electronic fuel injection technology and are being used in smaller machinery like lawn mowers, chain saws, motorbikes, small boats, and light aircraft. Even though electronic fuel injection technology has more advantages like flexibility, reliability and complexity, its higher cost makes carburetors a better choice for small engines.
The basic function of a carburetor is to ensure the right mix of air and gasoline into the engine. The carburetor comprises of a tube with an adjustable plate called the throttle placed across it. This throttle controls the amount of air that flows through the tube. The carburetor tube narrows down at a place called the venture, where a vacuum is created.
There is a hole in this narrowing called the jet that allows the fuel to be drawn in because of the vacuum. There are several parts in a carburetor that allow for smooth functioning. The parts are the pilot, pilot airscrew, throttle valve, jet needle, needle jet, air jet, and main jet. Other important parts are the choke, accelerator pump, float chamber, and barrels that help to create the ideal mixture of gas and air in the engine.
Carburetors have improved over the years in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. Their emissions standards have are much better and adhere to environmental standards. This is also another reason for the increased use of carburetors in smaller machinery.
There are many kinds of small engine carburetors. The complexity of the modern machines demand greater sophistication in the carburetor design. Float-type and suction-type are the two main categories of carburetors and there are two kinds of float-type carburetors including one-piece and two-piece. Suction-type carburetors have a built-in fuel pump.
The major manufacturers of carburetors are Amal Ltd., Autolite, Carter, Holley, Pierburg, Rochester, Solex, Stromberg, SU, Walbro and Tillotson (small engines), Briggs and Stratton, Villiers, Weber and Zenith. Rebuilt or remanufactured carburetors can also be used in small engines.
Carburetors provides detailed information about carburetors, carburetor parts, carburetor tuning, and more. Carburetors is affiliated with Car Transport.

If you want to keep up with your motorcycling quite extensively,
just get the hang of it and you’re in to managing your own
motorcycles for yourself. Some riders and bikers who have pushed
moderately spending their time with their bikes would often and
sometimes habitually change and check on their motorcycle parts.
They would check on it a lot particularly the spark plugs. With
checking on it regularly, they become more familiar and found
typically that it is more than just checking but maintaining as
well.
In getting started with your spark plugs, there is a lot to
learn. Spark plugs have essential differences in sizes and
lengths. They vary in diameters and lengths. For example engines
with small displacements uses a 10mm plugs while bigger engines
uses 12mm spark plugs. Since motorcycles have different
configurations and stroke-engines, each have their own
respective forms.
In view of that fact of differences in diameters and sizes,
people get confused in trying to substance and choose the
appropriate spark plugs. Different spark plugs have different
sizes in plug holes and it comes to confusion whether everything
falls into place and matches end-to-end.
Many motorcyclists cannot deny the fact that they are having a
rough time having mistakes on choosing the right plugs. But that
is just a natural error. Spark plugs can be very hard to manage
too. Once these plugs threads become eventually exposed in the
engine’s combustion chamber over a long period of time, they
become very difficult to detach and revamp.
Spark plugs should have enough resistance to heat exposure and
withstand a long period of time to avoid that circumstance of
short circuiting. Therefore, the spark plug’s temperature and
condition should be carefully maintained within the whole
duration of extreme usage and heating.
The identification and specification of spark plugs wouldn’t be
that confusing if they were typically alike and for general use
for all sorts and kinds of motorcycles. Since they are not all
the same, each has to be given different characteristics on its
size and length and heat endurance. Also be given emphasis to
its thermal characteristic and temperature. They should always
make sure the temperature stays on its range.
Spark plug manufacturers have to distinctive with the heating
range for those who stay long hours of fast riding and for those
who prefer low power riding. Still, the application of spark
plugs depends upon the contentment and satisfaction of the
riders. Some prefer to enhance their bike’s performance while
some stay loyal to their bikes original spark plug
recommendations. Others would rely on choosing their bike’s
brand with the belief that they will not be having a hard time
to cope with it since it is rightfully made for their bikes.
Riders have their own ways of maintaining their bikes and the
choice is up to feed their satisfaction not only with the spark
plugs but the whole motorcycle as well.
